This is going to sound strange, but I was browsing the internet, on the New York Times website, and found this image (Bank of the Seine). It really moved me. Sometimes an image is just so captivating that it almost makes you want to cry. Monet, along with William Turner (Burning of the Houses of Parliament shown below) are two of my favorite artists.

No I agree, I'm no connoisseur or anything... but it's amazing how some things can leave such an impact.
For me, the natural beauty around me astounds me everyday, I see some things strangely though I will admit. I can look at something and think it is absolutley beautiful and have someone walk up to me and say "Dude, come on... it's a garbage can..." Haha but seriously, I try to find the beauty in all things and it maes me smile to think that someone can apreciate painting and expression and STILL like quantum physics :P
either way.... I agree
Perhaps another question to ask is: ”When Steven Weinberg says that he sees beauty in the laws of physics, what does he mean? Is he talking about the same thing as when he sees beauty in the paintings you have posted?” Another comment is that despite its beauty, your blog entry is too short!
